This Privacy Notice is issued by VERIDIAN GEOSPATIAL ("Veridian", "we", "us"), trading as Veridian Maritime. We act as the data controller for personal data processed in connection with our website and services. You can contact us at hello@veridian.maritime.

- Account data — name, business email, login credentials.
- Customer support data — messages, attachments, correspondence history.
- Usage and telemetry — pages viewed, features used, API calls, timestamps.
- Device and connection data — IP address, browser/device identifiers, language, approximate location derived from IP.
- Billing identifiers — transaction references shared by our payment provider (Paddle).

- Creating and maintaining your account — performance of contract.
- Providing the maritime intelligence service and associated dashboards — performance of contract.
- Security, fraud and abuse prevention — legitimate interests.
- Product improvement and aggregate analytics — legitimate interests.
- Customer support — performance of contract / legitimate interests.
- Marketing communications, where applicable — consent (you may withdraw at any time).
- Compliance with legal, tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
4. Sharing of personal data
We share personal data with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, infrastructure, analytics, error monitoring and customer support tooling.
- Merchant of Record (Paddle) — Paddle.com Market Limited acts as our reseller and Merchant of Record for the sale of our products. Paddle processes payments, manages subscriptions, calculates and remits taxes, and issues invoices. Paddle's privacy notice is available at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
- Professional advisers — legal, accounting and audit firms when needed.
- Authorities — where required by law, regulation or valid legal process.
5. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), together with supplementary measures where required.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes set out above, to comply with our legal obligations, and to resolve disputes. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We respond to verified requests within one month.
